Stowting Church of England Primary School

PSHE & RSE

At Stowting Church of England Primary School, we are committed to nurturing the whole child, equipping our pupils with the skills, knowledge, and understanding they need to lead healthy, safe, and fulfilling lives. Our PSHE (Personal, Social, Health, and Economic) education, combined with RSE (Relationships and Sex Education), plays a vital role in this development. We value PSHE and RSE as one way to support children’s development as human beings, to enable them to understand and respect who they are, to empower them with a voice and to equip them for life and learning.

Personal, Social, Health, and Economic (PSHE) Education: Our PSHE curriculum is designed to foster self-awareness, emotional intelligence, and resilience. Through engaging lessons and activities, children learn about the importance of physical and mental health, staying safe, and making informed decisions. We empower our students to build positive relationships, understand and manage their emotions, and become responsible, caring citizens in the modern world.

Relationships and Sex Education (RSE): RSE is an essential part of our curriculum, taught in a sensitive and age-appropriate manner. We focus on building respectful, healthy relationships and understanding the physical and emotional changes that occur during growth. Our RSE program helps children to develop confidence, respect for themselves and others, and the knowledge to navigate their world safely and responsibly.

At Stowting, we believe that PSHE and RSE are foundational to our students' overall wellbeing and success. By instilling these values early on, we prepare our children not only for the challenges of today but for a bright and positive future.
